Telangana History Overview
Telangana History Telugu PDF is a great way to understand Telangana State History. Telangana, located on the high Deccan Plateau, has historically been ruled by the Satavahana (230 BCE to 220 CE), Kakatiya (1083-1323), Musunuri rulers (1326-1356), Delhi Sultanate, Bahmani Sultanate (1347-1512), Golconda Sultanate (1512-1687), It was ruled by dynasties such as the Asaf Jahi dynasty (1724-1950). Nizam-ul-Mulk defeated Mubariz Khan in 1724 and captured Hyderabad. After that his descendants ruled Hyderabad for a long time as Nizams of Hyderabad. The Nizam kings established the first railways, postal and telegraph networks and the first universities in Telangana.

Telangana region has existed since the ancient stone age. Pre-Stone Age habitations have been discovered in Vemulapally, Ethurunagaram, Basara, Both, Halia, Cattur etc. Archaeologists have collected fossils of the Jurassic age in Vadapally, Veltur, Pochampadu, Ellareddypet and other areas. There is also a mention of Manjiraka country (present day Manjira river basin) in Matsyapurana. The Mulaka kingdom ruled by Pratisthanapuram (Paithan) as its capital extended to the border of Godavari river and today’s Adilabad district was a part of it. Then the main north-south route passed through this kingdom. Buddhists living abroad called it Manjiraka (present-day Manjira river basin). During Shodasa Mahajanapada, Magadha kingdom became strong and occupied many kingdoms, then Ashmaka kingdom also merged with Magadha. After that, the Nandarajas and the Pidapa Mauryas ruled this region.
