SSC CGL Question Paper 2022 Overview
The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC CGL exam to recruit candidates into various organizations, departments, offices under the Government of India. The SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) is one of these exams. It is a national level exam and recruitment to Group B and Group C posts in government departments is done through this exam.
To apply for the SSC CGL Exam, the candidate must be a Graduate from a recognised University/ Institution. Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University. And, Candidates must have studied either Economics/Statistics/Mathematics as a compulsory or as an elective subject. For general category it’s generally 21 to 27 years, roughly 7 attempts. For reservation you get age relaxation and hence more than 7 attempts.
The SSC CGL exam is conducted in 4 Tiers –
- Tier I
- Tier II
- Tier III
- Tier IV
Exam Pattern:
Tier I
- Multiple-choice questions (objective)
- Marks – 200
- Time – 1 hour (60 minutes)
Tier-II
- Multiple-choice questions (objective)
- Four Papers as per the post
- Marks – 200
- Time – 2 hours (120 minutes)
Tier-III
- Descriptive Test
- Marks – 100
- Time – 1 hour (60 minutes)
Tier- IV
- Computer Proficiency Test – 45 minutes via Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Data Entry Skill Test – 8000 depression per hour
