NFBS Application Form Overview

The Community and Rural Development Department of the state starts various schemes and programs from time to time for the economic and social development of the people of the state. Its main objective is poverty alleviation, employment generation, and providing social security to rural people. So that the economic condition of the poor people of the state can be strengthened. In view of this, the National Family Benefit Scheme sponsored by the Central Government has been implemented in the state as well.

Under NFBS, an amount of Rs 20,000 is given as compensation for the death of a “primary breadwinner” (male or female), the deceased person should be between 18 and 59 years old. Benefit is given to only BPL families under these scheme. Under this scheme, the Government of India will provide financial assistance to those families in which the only earning member has died. The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the financially weak families of the state whose only earning member who was also the head of the family has died, so that that family can be brought up well.
