Navratri Puja Vidhi Telugu Overview

Unlike normal days, Puja Vidhi should be performed following special rules on the nights of Vasantha (from Chaitra Padyami to Navami) and Sharannava nights (from Ashwayuja Padyami to Navami). The most important of them is fasting initiation. Those who can do it can eat fruits and milk for those nine days and perform puja. Or Ekabhuktam (eating after day worship) or Naksham (night eating) can be done. ‘Upavaseva naktena chaiva eka bhuktena wapunah.

Devipujaki should be performed anywhere in the house, not in the pujagriha or in the eastern direction of the house, wash it and purify it with turmeric water and designate that part as a place of worship. Legend has it that the place is sixteen cubits wide, seven cubits wide and nine cubits long. In the middle of that place, a platform should be placed one hand wide and four hands long and decorated with garlands and arches with mango trees.
