Nagula Chavithi Vratha Katha Overview

The fast of Nagula Chavithi is dedicated to the snake deity. This festival is celebrated as Nag Panchami in many regions. If you also want to get the blessings of Nag Devta, then you must do this fast on the occasion of Nagula Chavithi.

By observing the Nagula Chavithi fast, not only does one get the blessings of Nag Devta, but Lord Bholenath is also pleased by performing this worship with complete rituals. By the grace of Lord Bholenath, there is no fear of premature death in the life of a person and you can get desired results in your life.

Story of Nagula Chavithi:

The legends of Nagas are associated with Hindu mythology. According to legend, once Raj Janamejaya performed the Sarpamedha Yaga to destroy the entire snake race, due to which all the snakes and serpents in the world started falling on the altar. Then the Naga king Takshak sought the help of the gods to save his life, but due to the solemn incantations, Takshak along with Indra and other gods began to be dragged towards the altar. Then the goddess and the snake reached the shelter of Brahma Ji and he begged for help. Chaturanan asked to take the help of Astika, the son of Manasa Devi.

According to Brahmaji, the gods and snakes approached Manasa Devi and explained their plight to her. Then the mother ordered her ascetic son to stop the Sarpamedha Yaga. Following Ammavari’s order, the asist stopped the yajna and saved all the serpents and deities. This work was performed on the day of Naga Chaturthi, due to which Mata Manasa blessed the deities and mankind to worship the serpents on this day and listen to this story, every wish would be fulfilled. Since then Nagula Chavithi festival is celebrated today.
Nagula Chavithi Vrata is performed by newly married women for procreation. They go to houses, guls, Bambi and worship the snake deities and pour milk.

Nagula Chavithi Pooja Vidhanam:

Duties to be performed on the festival day:

On the day of Nagula Chavithi, get up early in the morning and bow your head and pray to God at home. Then go to the nearby mound and light the lamp and perform puja. After the pooja, one should keep a fast for the whole day by making an offering of cold dals, vadappu and bananas.Have dinner. Chavithi fasting is good for those who have ear problems and eye problems. It is believed that reciting Nagendra Ashtottaram, Nagendra Stotra, Naga Stuti, Nagendra Sahasra names before the puja will remove all the evils. If that is not possible then the mantra “Om Nagendraswamine Namah” should be chanted 108 times.

Part of nature:
Why do we worship these poisonous snakes? The question immediately arises in many people, let’s take a look at what is the essence of this festival. Since ‘nature’ is the basis of human survival, it is considered as a form of God and from that time till today, tree, hill, rock, ridge, hill, cone, river, mountain – all these Pranakoti have been worshiped as a form of God. That is the uniqueness of our Indian culture. If we look closely… ‘Snake’ is also being worshiped as Nagaraja and Nagadevata as a part of it. Snakes are considered to be gods who live in the interior of the earth and protect the soil and provide “water” to all living creatures.. They eat the insects that destroy the dishes and indirectly prevent the “farmer” from losing his crops. So in terms of nature they help us a lot.
The implication is:
It is said that the cobra that burrows in the human body is more dangerous. This human body has nine holes called navarandhras. In the human body, the spine filled with nerves is called “spinal cord”. “Yogashastra” says that the Kundalini energy in it is coiled like a ‘snake’ in the root chakra. It pretends to be living in a human body! It grasps the poisons of lust, anger, greed, lust, religion and matruryala and drains the ‘Satyaguna’ property from the human being. So on the day of killing the snakes, I will not kill the poisonous snake directly
It is said that if we worship and pour puttalopalu, even the poisonous snake in the human being will become white and ‘Shri Maha Vishnu’ who resides in our hearts will become Adi Seshu who is my friend and become ‘Seshapa’.

If we look at this from the astrological point of view, Kuja, Rahu are bad people, worldly sufferings,
Of the six Chaturjashis in the month of Kartik, Tuesday is the day and Chaturdashi is Wednesday.
The following mantra is recited on all days other than the day of the meeting.
If we look at this from the astrological point of view, Kuja and Rahu are doshas and worldly sufferers. In the Shafi and Chaturdashi of the month of Kartik, either on Tuesday or on the day when Chaturdashi falls on a Wednesday, fast the whole day and remember the following mantra –

Thus cow’s milk is poured into the potta and the serpent is worshipped, chilimidi and chimmili bananas are said to be ripening. On that occasion, the rest of the Diwali matabs, kakarapuvvottu, tapas, and tapas are also burnt by the children very happily. Many believe that if women worship this, they will have auspicious and happy children, and if children worship the same, they will get a good husband.
To prevent Kali Dosha..

Shastras state that reciting the following sloka on this Nagula Chavithi day will cure Kali Dosha.
Bhavishya Purana says that the lineage of those who worship rain will flourish as ‘Tamara Tamparaga’, the water lamp in Indian homes is Subrahmanyeshwar! Many people call him the adorable Daivanka name like Nagaraju, Fani, Subbarao etc.
One last word.

We get scared just by mentioning the name of the snake. If they are seen anywhere, they will kill them, but they will not calm down. Even more terrible humans are among us.
Poison from the head and scorpion from the tail. The head of the head is full of poison!

As said, if we are in human form around us, we are not able to notice our formations, which are dark (they become dangerous if we go near them) but more dangerous than humans, serpents’ mind! None of these purposes of theirs are dangerous.
