Kedareswara Vrat is a great Vrat practiced by Hindus. In the month of Kartika, the full moon of Kartika occurs on the day when the moon is in conjunction with Krittika Nakshatra. Today, Intillipadi fasts and meditates on Lord Shiva in the form of Kedareshwar. Devotees have immense faith that those who see this name will not lack Ashtaiswaryas and Annavasthas. After completing the fast, they take Nakshatradarshan and report to Swami as Prasad.
Legend has it that Goddess Parvati got the half-body of Lord Shiva because of this Vratha Mahatya.
