Karnataka Free Laptop Scheme Overview
This scheme was launched by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai Ji with the aim to motivate highlight students from across India.Under this scheme, the government will provide free laptops to those students who have scored merit in the 12th class examination. This year, the government has set a target to give laptops to around 2 lakh meritorious students in the state.
The main aim of Karnataka Free Laptop Distribution Scheme 2022 is to promote digital learning (online education to students). Another major focus of the state govt. is to encourage students to pursue technical / higher education who are not able to do so due to financial crisis. Karnataka govt. will encourage brilliant students who performed well in 12th class board exams.
List Of Courses
The following courses are applicable under the scheme: –
- Medical studies
- Engineering
- Polytechnic colleges
- Postgraduate courses
- Studying in First Grade Colleges
Eligibility Criteria
- First, the applicant must be a resident of Karnataka state.
- The applicant can be of any category or any backward category.
- The student must have passed class 12 with good grades.
Documents Required
- Domicile Certificate of Karnataka
- Aadhaar Card for identification
- Bank Account linked with Aadhaar Card.
- Caste Certificate.
- Income Certificate.
- Passport size photograph
- Educational Certificate
