India is the 7th largest country in the world and the second-most populous. It’s also situated in South Asia, lying east of Pakistan and west of China. Its official name is the Republic of India and it’s governed by a Parliamentary form of government.
There are currently 28 states and 8 union territories in India. Each state has its own administrative, legislative, and judicial capital for some states all three of these functions are conducted in the same capital. Every state is ruled by a Chief Minister.
