Babasaheb Ambedkar History Overview
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was the architect of the Indian Constitution and the first Chief Justice of independent India. He was a prominent activist and social reformer. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar dedicated his entire life for the upliftment of Dalits and backward classes. He is famous as the Messiah of Dalits. Today Dalits have gained a place in the society. All the credit goes to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Bhimrao Ambedkar removed the frustrations of the socially backward classes and gave them the right to equality. Ambedkar always fought to end caste discrimination. B. R. Ambedkar ji also belonged to a Marathi family. He belonged to Ambavade in Maharashtra located in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. They had contact with the Dalit class of the Mahar caste, which made them socially and economically highly discriminated.
